Your farm, run like a research facility

How a study works

You model one to ten years of choices: crop, rotation, marketing, storage, blending, hauling, one option per year, against a baseline built for this region, its soils, its moisture profiles, its weather patterns. We supply the variables from compiled regional and historical data; you never have to invent a number. You rank your priorities, and the system checks the model against them: rotations that violate a disease break get penalized, thirsty crops on a thin moisture profile get flagged, conflicts between your own goals get laid out with both forks priced. Then the projection posts, in dollars per acre, and it only posts what its data can back.

Study My Farm is not the planning system. Plans run the whole operation; a study runs research on designated ground. A plan can outline a study's parameters, but they are separate machines, and your live operation never rides on an experiment.

Proof, not projection

A study runs on designated study acres against your own commercial control ground, and when harvest and settlements come in, the difference settles from real records:

We provide the data compiling, the parsing, the analytics, the comparison sets, the research boundaries, and the guidance that keeps results honest. You provide the ground and the decisions. What comes back is the one number no brochure can fake: what the change was worth on your own dirt.

Why your own numbers beat the published ones

Traditional input research values a crop against what it cost to produce in the single season it grew. What compounds across a rotation, the fertility carried forward, the disease break honored or broken, the moisture spent or banked, never gets priced back to the decision that caused it. Published baselines inherit that blind spot, prescriptions built on those baselines inherit it again, and the company funding the research has no reason to follow up once the finding favors the product. This system tracks value across years, on your fields, so costs and benefits land on the decisions that actually caused them. The longer it runs and the more of your own settled numbers it holds, the more accurate it gets.

A twelve year old field study from someone else's plots is not the same knowledge as your land, your soil, your budget and your decisions, tracked and settled. Chemical, nutrients, fertilizer, rotation and land management practices can each be monitored on their own and as a whole, for a plain cause and effect look at what pays you and what costs you, regardless of whose advice it was.

A study built around your question

Every parcel of ground is unique, and a blanket answer, however carefully built, gets refined per field and per operation. So the system goes a step further: you pick the field or fields, name the improvement or question you want tested, and it designs your operation its own study around it. We provide the research parameters, the worksheets with the value calculations built in, the storage of the comparative data, and the guidance that keeps results honest. You provide the ground and the decisions. A three to five year study informs your decisions for decades after it.
